rusty scissors

I did one of those deep breathing sighs when I received a postcard in the mail telling me Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion magazine will no longer be published. The kind of sigh you do when you whack your shin but don't have time to let yourself feel that it hurts. I loved this magazine, it wasn't just about Mary and her artwork but an inspirational boost for all types of art, decorating and even some wonderful recipes. I will miss it. And so will my scissors...we make a date every few months to sit and clip. Snip, snip snip....sigh.

PS Sorry my pictures stink lately. It's a combination of me and my lack of photography skills and taking pictures while riding my unicycle.

I SO agree! I have a collection of the little prints and paper dolls, too. I even got a page of the dolls in the mail from my sister today. How SAD! I looked at the store when I shopped yesterday to see if there were any copies of last month left! BOOHOO!!

I just don't understand the demise of all these magazines that we love! I love my computer, don't get me wrong, but the feel of a magazine in my hands can't be duplicated by a screen image.

I love your new header!
Say, is it just me or are there no "regular" (i.e. non-disney-channel) valentines out there?

I feel like I just woke up and came out from under a rock!

I guess it's been a while since I shopped for kids' valentines! :)

I am SO sad! I, too, loved that magazine. I had not heard this. Such pretty things in there.
