under the weather and a vacation

If only you could hear the amount of complaining I have done lately. It must be some kind of record!

These are things I have learned while coughing and hacking the last couple weeks:

I am not tough enough for Texas.

It is hot here.

Complaining really doesn’t help... but I all the same I cannot stop.

Watching hours of TV is really disgusting.

Being sick makes you realize how much love He has for you every day. All those days you run around with bounding energy to do laundry and jump rope outside with crazy kids, I miss that and never want to take it for granted.

Lemonade popsicles are delicious.

Properly working lungs are very helpful. I have never puffed on a cigarette and it makes me nauseous to think people pay money to do that.

007 Some of our kids flew to Grammie’s house today. While it feels absolutely ridiculous to send them alone on a speeding plane high in the sky I know they are thrilled and having fun. I will join them later on and we will hang our feet off the dock and they will sit and tell me things because they will be older and wiser for their new life experiences…and I will love every minute of this.

008 This puzzle is hard, even though it looks easy. See what I mean? I can’t stop complaining!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Now, I happen to think you are not a complainer AT ALL. Look at the positive spin you put on being sick: "Being sick makes you realize how much love He has for you every day. All those days you run around with bounding energy to do laundry and jump rope outside with crazy kids, I miss that and never want to take it for granted." That is totally positive. You also promoted abstaining from smoking, also a positive thing :) Feel better soon.

Hope you feel better soon my dear! Splendid plan to have some of your kids fly to spend time with grandma (my sister and I did that when we were 11 and 13 and I have really wonderful memories of that time) was great for bonding with my grandmother and yes- was a coming of age time. May you get better soon and enjoy some sitting on the dock with toes in the water too! - Juniper

Hope you're feeling better soon--I think all puzzles look hard--I'm lacking the patience gene!

Puzzles become an obsession with me, so I try not to start them, because NOTHING gets accomplished until they are complete!

Oh Hen I am so with you. Sorry that you've been feeling crappy ~ I hope that germs are not spread through blogs... if so, I swear, it wasn't me. : ) I've been sick for days and feel the same way, I was so excited to wake up feverless this morning that I can't wait to do laundry.

I love puzzles!!! good idea, maybe when we return from our trip I'll start a new one.

Lemonade popsicles sound awesome.

You make me smile and want to hand you a pretty pink tissue. I've been there and done that and in one breath I say...I have NOTHING to complain about and then I complain anyway.

Get better soon, I hope the bug-a-boo's flee and you come back as happy as can be.

Sending prayers way up high for you!
