belly laugh

We’re back. It is so, so silly to drive away from all these smiling faces. The kind of silly when you don’t know whether to laugh or cry. I did both I think. I miss them.

My sister and my son, all the cousins run to her like she is the ice cream man.

We are getting back into the groove at our little ranch. The heat index is 109 today, that just might be hotter than heck don’t you think? We have been working hard, there is much to be done. But not too hard where I couldn’t go to an estate sale on Saturday. It was really a gift from the heavens as we have seen 2 tarantulas and a yucky snake and I was feeling a bit wiggy about this.

Anyhow the sale I shall share later as it was totally awesome, dude. Or as they say back home….wicked cool.

See you later alligators-- I shall check out some of your blogs and maybe if I’m not feeling too lazy I will leave you a comment.

So happy to have you stop by today. I've missed you. Your post today reminds me of my mom. She would come to visit our little family and help with laundry and cook and play outside and on the floor with my kids and then she would climb in her motorhome and cry all the way home. I could time her phone call when she arrived back home...She would call to say what a good time she had etc...and then...let me talk to the kids...Oh, how I miss those days...
Love to you and your sweet family.

That heat index is just insane. I think you should relax with a large glass of iced tea and wait 'till it cools off before you do any work! I'm hiding out inside today and it's only in the 90s. I won't be doing any garden work 'till dusk.

Glad you had a nice vaca and it's good to see you here again.

I was SO excited to see a comment from you today! Glad you're back, friend. I've missed you.

D-D-Did you say...t-t-tarantula??? You've got to be kidding. I could. not. live. there. The first tarantula I'd see I'd keel over and die right then and there.

I think we're stuck in the same hot air mass as you because they said our heat index was going to be 109 today too. Ugh!

Spent the day at Harkness today...before driving around Niantic & East Lyme...wish we could have gone to the book barn together! Happy Posting.

Love your pictures! Glad you had fun visiting family! It is hard to live far away from them, but I think I appreciate being close(r) to them now that I had 12 years so far away..

What sweet photos! Hope you enjoyed your trip! Sometimes it takes the parents being out of the picture for a few days for the real bonding between grandparents and grandchildren to start really happening.
