thou art woman

I hath no time to write really, but as a woman I am able to magically find time to fit in a post.

I am feeling womanly today.  Do you ever have days when you are glad you are a girl?  I realize by asking that my brother is going to leave some kind of sarcastic comment, but it’s okay b/c I don’t mind when brothers are sarcastic.

If there was ample time today I would make a wrap-a-round skirt out of this fabric:

It’s my favorite fabric of the week.

I would make it reversible with a dark chambray cotton and use this pattern minus the pockets:

What’s on your to-do wish list?

I am totally loving that skirt! And the fabric will be perfect when you have all that spare time to make it! Where does the time go??

Thanks. Out of sheer silliness, I will flag my own comments. However, in regard to your brussel sprouts - I did throw a few into a bag at the grocery store the other day for Sunday's steak dinner. Only a few because M isn't real fond of them. The customer service rep bagging my groceries holds up my big ol' bag with only a single serving sized amount of brussel sprouts and says, "If you don't like them, you don't need to buy them..." whatever. it was funny at the time.

I think M, M & H need a matching skirt! Bet M & H would LOVE that. he he. I'm filling orders, so little time for my own project, but, I did cut-out a new purse for myself. Out of a Heather Bailey Home Dec Floral. Maybe it'll be done by Easter, maybe it won't. Did you stay up for the game last night? Of course you did! Yay UCONN. don't you love it when I fill your post with a quick hello. :)

That would make a very pretty skirt. I wanted to make a wrap around for myself but I can't find any fabric I like in my stash. Oh, well.

In response to your question: Yes, I did think about snakes as it was nearly 90 degrees, so it is the perfect time for them to come out and sun. I did keep watch and never saw one. But, no it doesn't concern me enough to stop what I'm doing.

I worry more about snakes in the water, as we always see snakes in the creeks and lakes around here...And I always have flashes of that scene in Lonesome Dove where the water moccasins come up and attack the kid crossing the river.

I guess you don't worry about snakes in the ocean!

I'll take one in sz. med., please. Can you make one with a daisy fabric also? Oh, and I love Zinnia's too, so that could be on the other side. Thank you so much. It WILL be ready for Easter, right? haha
