going more places with little bird

Everywhere I go my little bird comes, too.

For the most part he likes this and so do I.  I’m too embarrassed to tell you how many auctions and sales he has been to in his short 3 months.  His first was when he was 6 days old…it was a book and ephemera sale.  We didn’t buy anything that day but he was a big hit.

Often I think about how he arrived so gently into our lives.  After a previous pregnancy ended with such drama, I still am in awe at that wonderful day 3 months ago.  I think it was one of the most beautiful days of my life. People remark at how it must be hard to have an infant with my husband away. Other than the obvious that he will miss these precious days of watching our child reach his first milestones, I am grateful to have a baby in the house.  He brings so much joy.

I’m not sure why I love having babies so much, they do turn into teenagers afterall.  But these early days? They are the most precious days.  Often when I go to pick Sawyer up from a nap I can’t believe I have a baby.  A baby!

Now go ahead and ask me how it is to care for all the other kids while Dad is away….

It’s so darn hard you’re lucky I’m not using swear words in this sentence!

He is so precious in his little camo outfit! I didn't realize how big he's getting. Wow! Already sitting up. I wish we had more sales and auctions to go to around here. Maybe I just don't know where to look.

I didn't realize your husband was deployed already. I knew he was going to but didn't know he had. You are the type of woman I wish I were. So independent and strong. You should feel very proud of what you're doing and know that it is appreciated. (hugs)

I just can't believe that is him! He looks so big and so much older in that precious outfit. Is he sitting up by himself already! WOW! You amaze me but I know you enjoy your sweet family and I'm so happy for you!

You are my hero. You already were. But now even more so...But only a hero in the sense that "I totally admire her and want to be her. But I never will...So I shall admire from over here."

Because I'm just too lazy to live your life!

How sweet! Praying for you as your husband is deployed. I always thought I'd like a bunch of kids but I guess I would rather admire others!

You are one incredible mother, just look at the wonderful children you are raising. Sawyer is growing leaps and bounds and my what a cutie pie! Tomorrow, I begin watching my three month old grandbaby Travis three days a week. I am over the moon! there is nothing more rewarding, in my opinion, than being a mother, or a grandmother. Hang tough! Sending greetings from Maine, Julie.

I feel the same way about having babies. It's such a joy to have them although it adds a lot to the work load. Hang in there. You are an amazing mom!
