I had you all wrong

Dear Mr McGregor,

This is a letter of apology for all the times we thought you were a mean old man. Perhaps you are a mean old man but after reading The Tale of Peter Rabbit to each of my children over and over for 16+ years I now know why.

Each morning when I wake this rabbit taunts me. He sits in the middle of the garden and stares at me. It's unnerving. I feel the need to grab a metal rake and chase him down (sound familiar?). He is getting more and more bold letting me get within five feet of him before he boing boing boings away. I don't like him.

He even teases the cat. I am embarrassed to admit my cat is named Peter after the mischievous rabbit in your garden. Will you forgive me?

This morning I found these in the garden. What should I do next?

I tried this but I almost think he laughed at me, but then again it might have been the neighbors.

Freckled Hen

PS If you happened to notice there are cukes growing in the peas (and all over the garden) this is why:

That trully is the cutest post I have seen yet!! You really gave me something to smile about on a day when my mouth just did not feel like smiling. Thank you for that cheery little tidbit to get me going. And Peter the cat, that is just too funny!! hugs, Debby
